How did the expansion of Iran's rail industry begin?
Iran Railway Industries Development Company started its work in September 2014 by separating from Tabriz Machine Building Company as an independent company under the Iran Development and Modernization Organization and under the license of French company Veslu Cojifer. Production of rail turnout and crossing
One of the most important and sensitive production parts is the rail turnout. The turnout is applied to a set of standard and special rails and connecting surfaces of cast or rolled forged parts and various types of traverses, etc., which are used in railway lines and stations to change the route of city and intercity trains.

Single turnout, mostly common and widely used type of crossings, can divide the main route into two routs of straight and curved directions. This kind of turnout is classified as right-turn or left-turn based on the direction in which the turnout is extended, and widely used in Islamic republic of

Crossover, a device set used for joining two parallel routes, which provides the possibility of passing a route over another in both right & left directions. This type of crossing is being used in the subways of Tehran, Tabriz, Ghom, Kermanshah, Mashhad, Karaj, Esfahan & Shiraz subways.

Double junction
The double junction consists of two simple turnouts and one crossover. This type of turnout allows a rail vehicle to pass through the intersection of the two simple turnouts. Examples of this turnout, produced by IRID, are used in the Tehran Metro.
