Discussion on Technical Cooperation and Development of Rail Infrastructure
During a meeting between the CEO of the Iranian Railway Industries Development Company (IRID) and Rouhollah Taghizadeh, the Director General of Track and Technical Structures of the Railways of the Islamic Republic of Iran (RAI), important topics regarding technical cooperation and the development of rail infrastructure were discussed.
The meeting, held with the aim of strengthening mutual cooperation between the two entities, emphasized the necessity of utilizing modern technologies in the field of railway tracks and structures.
Taghizadeh, during the meeting, congratulated Mohammad Kalami on his appointment as the CEO of the Iranian Railway Industries Development Company (IRID) and highlighted the importance of updating equipment and technologies related to railway tracks. He stated, “Collaboration with domestic companies such as IRID can significantly enhance the quality and safety of the country’s railway tracks. Such cooperation can also pave the way for cost reduction and increased productivity in this sector.”
Mohammad Kalami, the CEO of IRID, also expressed, “As the sole producer of railway switches in the country, IRID is fully prepared to leverage domestic capabilities and collaborate with the Railway Company to take effective steps toward improving and developing rail infrastructure.”
During the meeting, practical solutions for implementing joint projects, improving maintenance and repair processes for railway tracks, and utilizing domestic capacities for producing necessary equipment were reviewed. It is expected that these discussions will lead to the signing of cooperation agreements and the implementation of large-scale projects in the near future.
This meeting marks an important step toward achieving the shared goals of the two companies in developing and modernizing the country’s rail infrastructure, as well as enhancing the safety and efficiency of the railway transportation network.
