IRID broke down the wall of sanctions at the closing ceremony of the 10th International Exhibition of Rail Transportation … by unveiling its new products.

According to a report by the Iran Rail Industries Development Co’s(IRID’s) Public Relations Office, the latest products of this Co. were unveiled with the attendance of the esteemed Vice-minister and the CEO of the Islamic Republic of Iran Railways(RAI), Dr. Miaad Salehi, simultaneously with the closing ceremony of the 10th International Exhibition of Rail Transportation, Industries, Equipment and the related services.

One of these products was the cross-stop fastening system, which is designed and used to stabilize the crossing part on the concrete bearers and absorb the impact on the crossings in accordance with the European standards.

Motaghipour, the CEO of this company, explained this system as saying: “This system increases the safety and life-time of the crossings considerably, while, reducing costs for both production and maintenance, causing both simple installation and the assembly of the switch rails. This system is used in European countries in high-speed turnouts with a speed of up to 250 km/h and in the turnouts/tracks with high axial load; as with the increase of the trains speed and also the axle load, the intensity of the blows on the crossings also increases at the same rate. This system consists of 9 parts with drawing numbers, all being produced by this company inside country.”

One more product was a new generation of slide chairs, called slide chair with rollers, which are widely used in the world’s railway tracks. Accordingly, for the first time in country, this product was designed and produced by the capable experts of this company, so by means of it, the performance improvement in the railway turnouts and the reduction of maintenance and repairment costs of tracks, as well as the increase of about 60% of the life-time of locking devices would be witnessed.

It should be noted that due to the lack of service and lubrication in this generation of slide chairs, this part will be a suitable replacement for common slide chairs in modern railway tracks.

And the last product was the AT slide chairs, which are designed and produced for railway switches in accordance with the world’s current designs and with the best performance and quality in this company.
